Let the Fun Begin: Gathering Your Materials
Before we begin sewing, let’s gather the materials needed for this captivating project. For the main fabric, I’ve chosen a beautiful raspberry crepe with mesmerizing patterns and minimal elasticity. Feel free to select any fabric that speaks to your personal style and preference. To line the interior of the corsage, a cupro lining with its soft and silky texture will add a touch of luxury.

For stability, I recommend using a soft interfacing to provide structure to the main fabric without compromising its comfort. However, you have the freedom to skip this step depending on the desired finish. Additionally, bias tape plays a crucial role in the construction of the corsage. You can purchase them or create your own using my tutorial instructions provided. If you opt for purchasing, ensure that it harmonizes with the colors of your main fabric.

Other materials include a grosgrain ribbon (2 meters) and an underwire channeling, which accommodates the optional bra underwire for a more flattering bust shape. Boning, with a width of 0.6cm, is also optional and can be omitted if you choose not to sew it. Foam, approximately 0.6cm thick, adds extra support to the cups. To reinforces the upper edges of the corsage you need an interfacing or fusible tape. Lastly, a sewing thread in a matching fabric color, such as the Gutermann brand, with a length of 100 meters, completes the list of materials. To fasten the corsage, you will need an hook and eye tape or a metal zipper.
